Terms of Service
These terms govern your engagement with NeverRanked. By contracting for a research engagement, you accept the terms below. They supersede any prior terms published on this site. If you have questions, write Lance@hi.neverranked.com before signing.
What we provide
NeverRanked sells a research engagement that measures what AI answer engines cite in a category. We deliver a forensic research memo and a prepped punch list for the team executing the work. We do not perform the execution. We do not write content, modify your website, deploy schema, edit third-party profiles, or perform any labor that converts a finding into a result.
What we no longer provide
Until May 2026, NeverRanked sold a JavaScript snippet that was claimed to drive AI citations. That product has been retired. References to that product, to "AEO scores," to monthly tiers named Pulse, Signal, or Amplify, to the one-time "$750 audit" sold before May 2026, or to any related execution service in any prior version of these terms are no longer in effect. The current Audit, at $750 per month per category, is described below and is in effect.
Pricing and engagement
- Monitor is $199 per month per category, month to month, cancellable any month effective the next billing cycle.
- The Audit is $750 per month per category, and there are two ways to start it. On a three-month term, it is $750 per month from the first month, and the baseline fee is waived. Month to month, the first month is a $950 baseline month per category, and it is $750 per month after that.
- On either path, the first month includes query set design, the locked baseline measurement across six AI tools (multiple full runs) with Bing search run alongside as a control, competitive cohort analysis, source-type analysis, the research memo, and the prepped punch list.
- Every month after that includes continued measurement, a monthly delta memo, drift monitoring, and punch list refreshes.
- After the three-month term ends, the Audit continues month to month at $750 per month per category until you cancel. Month to month, there is no minimum commitment beyond the baseline month.
- Engagements are scoped per category. A new category is a new baseline.
- The one-time written AI answer check ($249) asks your question and up to nine like it, three times each, across six AI tools (four that search the live web and two that rely on their training data) with Bing search run alongside as a control, and is delivered in writing within two business days of receiving your question. It is measurement only, with no fixes and no promise about what AI tools will say, and it is refunded in full if it is not delivered within five business days but is non-refundable once delivered.
- If you start an audit within 60 days of the check, the $249 comes off your first audit invoice.
- All amounts in US dollars. The $249 check is paid by card at checkout. Everything else is billed via standard invoice, with payment due net 15.
What we do not access
The research engagement does not require access to your systems. We do not install code on your property. We do not integrate with your CRM, analytics, or data warehouse. We observe public AI answer engines from outside, the same way a journalist or analyst would. No data flows from your side into ours.
Data and confidentiality
- The research memo, punch list, and raw measurement data captured against your queries are yours. Exportable at any time. If you cancel, the data leaves with you.
- Category-level aggregate patterns observed across our broader dataset (source-type distributions, competitive cohorts, and engine-level patterns by category) remain ours. These are never tied to a named customer, never reverse-engineerable to a specific engagement, and are used to inform future research without exposing prior customer-specific data.
- Either party may treat the engagement and its outputs as confidential.
What we promise and what we do not
We promise the measurement cadence agreed at scoping, the research memo on the schedule agreed, and the prepped punch list. We do not promise any specific increase in AI citation share, search ranking, traffic, leads, or revenue. AI engines change their behavior on their own training cycles and competitive ecosystems shift independently. Any vendor promising a specific citation lift in advance is selling theater.
Cancellation and refunds
- The baseline month is non-refundable once measurement work has begun. If measurement has not started, a full refund is available within 30 days of payment.
- Month to month, the Audit can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- On the three-month term, the three months are committed and are invoiced monthly. After the third month, the Audit can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period.
- No partial refunds for unused days in a billing cycle.
Liability
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to a research engagement shall not exceed the amount you paid to NeverRanked in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, United States. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Honolulu, Hawaii.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers. The version in force for a given engagement is the version in effect when that engagement is signed, unless a later version is mutually agreed in writing.
